Review: Mulberry Mini Lily in Rose Petal

Review: Mulberry Mini Lily in Rose Petal
Details:

What fits inside?

You can fit a surprisingly large amount in this little bag! With the stitching mimicking compartments, you’re able to organise the contents of your bag in a very space efficient way.

One thing to be cautious about is that you position the glass screen of your phone so that it’s facing the lining, in order to avoid any scratches from your keys (since an iPhone 6 in a case wouldn’t fit in this bag).

Note: The cat card holder represents the three cards I had in the card slots.

Which (i)phones fit?

As you can see from the picture above, the iPhone 5 fits with a lot of room, whereas the iPhone 6 fits very snugly.

The iPhone 5 can fit with a bulky case(such as this Moschino teddy bear case) whereas the iPhone 6 can’t.

IMPORTANT:
As you can probably tell, a lot of these photos have been edited, causing the colour of the bag to change. Below is an unedited close-up picture of the colour and grain. I also noticed that the pictures of the bag on the Mulberry site weren't very accurate, so if you're interested in buying this bag I would definitely go and have a look at it in real life just to make sure you like it.

Conclusion:
Overall, I really love this little bag. Since buying it, i’ve worn it almost every day and have been pleasantly surprised at the amount I can fit in it.

For me, it’s great for nights out as well as daytime, though if you’re someone who likes to carry the contents of their bedroom in their bag, this really isn’t for you. If only Mary Poppin’s bag was real, ey?

Price-wise, at £350, obviously this bag is overpriced and I have no way of justifying it other than the amount I use it and the fact I don’t have anything else like it.
I did a lot of research prior to buying this bag looking at cheaper alternatives, such as the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Love Crossbody Bag and Kate Spade’s Baby Bags, but to be honest, they really didn’t compare to this one and I knew if I bought one of those I would buy other mini bags and end up spending the same amount on more, cheaper bags I didn’t really like.

Care-wise, the shop assistant told me rain shouldn’t have an effect on it, but I could protect it with Collonil Leather Gel to increase its water resistance (which I didn’t do but it seems to be doing fine).

So to conclude this conclusion, I love it! (Though I would like to forget about the price please).

Style it with...
A crochet white dress and nude sandals.

Links and stuff:
The bag  (I got mine at Harrods, they also do other colours).
The lipstick (shade number 9, 'Nude in Private').
